So how can we deliver quality software development if the work is done in India?
- Good communication and project management is the key!
- We have regular meetings to discuss project status. Meetings are conducted via GotoMeeting and Skype. Attendees can be anywhere in the world.
- You will be in direct contact with the actual developer working on your project.
- Our developers have good English language skills and some have even spent a significant amount of time living in the US.
- All timesheets and project notes are posted online for your review.
- We use the time difference to our advantage. While we are asleep here in the US, the India team is busy writing code. Then in the morning we have a little overlap between Mumbai time and our time. It is then that we schedule our meetings. Once the project is underway it is not uncommon to make a request at 6pm on your way out the door only to have it completed by the time you come in the next morning. We find our clients love this!
- We have had a presence in India since 2005. We know how to manage an offshore project and make it a sucess. Our clients like the idea that they are dealing with an American firm instead of some obscure firm in India. With Keene Systems you can realize the cost savings of off-shore development without the risk.
- Our largest project to date was for National Geographic. We have done the work almost exclusively with our India staff. When National Geographic School Publishing merged with Hampton Brown School Publishing they chose Keene Systems as the company to develop their new website. The site manages over 16,000 products and provides tools for a sales force scattered all over the US. You can see this site at www.NGSP.com.
